Our family is known for their over the mountain jaunts to visit Tennessee. We love that the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas are filled with family friendly activities. In 2022 we visited the area five different times and in 2023 we have already been there twice! Red Sky Lodge is on the top of a mountain in Sevierville. It took us about 10-15 minutes to get back to Pigeon Forge when we wanted to go out (which was rare because this cabin is epic). Boasting 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms our crew of 11 folks were able to spread out and enjoy both togetherness, as well as personal space.

Lisa, we did not need 4WD, however, it is possible you might need it if there was snow or ice. The way up is a little steep and makes for spectacular views.
